Walkerton · Cargill · Pinkerton · Bruce County
Farms, hamlets, and rural lots along the Saugeen River in the middle of Bruce County.
Walkerton anchors the Municipality of Brockton, with hamlets such as Cargill and Pinkerton and a lot of working farmland. The town is serviced. Most of the surrounding homes, hamlet properties, and farm buildings are on their own septic systems.
Systems here are often older and often undocumented, which makes pre-purchase inspection and a records check especially worthwhile. Soils are mixed, so some lots take a conventional bed easily and others need a design that works around poor drainage.
