Thornbury · Clarksburg · Craigleith · Grey County
Large homes, ski chalets, and Georgian Bay frontage: higher loads and tighter rules than the average rural lot.
The Blue Mountains stretches from Thornbury and Clarksburg on Georgian Bay up into the ski country around Craigleith. Many properties here are large custom homes, chalets, and short-term rentals, which means big peak loads on systems and a lot of guests flushing things they should not.
Where services have not reached, septic systems have to be designed for heavy intermittent use, on land that is often sloped, close to the escarpment, or close to the bay. That usually points to carefully sized beds or advanced-treatment systems rather than the minimum.
If you own or are buying a chalet or rental here, ask about inspection and a pumping schedule matched to your rental season. For new builds and replacements see installation, or call (548) 918-5572 for a free quote.
